The Different Types of Sloths
There are many different types of sloths, and these are some of them.
Hoffman's slothHoffman's Sloth one of the slowest animals are so sedimentary algae grow on them. They live in Central and South American rain forests. These sloths sleep 15 to 20 hours a day. Their diet is based on fruits, leaves, and shoots. Their average lifespan is 15 to 20, but in captivity, they can live up to 31 years. |
Pale-throated three-toed slothPale-throated three-toed sloth also known as the Bradypus Pterodactylus; they inhabit tropical rain forests in northern South America. They sleep for about 20 hours a day. Like the other sloths, they live most of their jobs in the trees. They grow up to 50 cm or more. |
Linnaeus’s two-toed slothLinnaeus’s two-toed sloth also known as the Choloepus didactylus is found in tropical rainforests of northern South America. Their diet is based on the variety of leaves and fruits. Average Linnaeus’s two-toed sloth live for 20 years. The oldest sloth is 43 years old which is twice their life expectancy. |
